I downloaded Audacious and its plugins, but it can't play internet radio streams. After a bit of searching I've gathered that the libcurl.so plugin is missing from audacious-plugins, therefore rendering it unable to play streams. Is there a way to fix this? Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried this,
pacman -S curl

Yeah, doesn't help. It seems to be something specifically missing from Audacious' plugins.

Well i have a fresh system here with Audacious installed and can play a stream fine. I just tested with the following,
http://www.di.fm/mp3/vocaltrance.pls
does that play for you? If not I suggest a reinstall of the app.

Any resolution to this?
I just installed audacious on a bare machine without all of my long list of usual packages and it just won't play.
lame, curl, audacious-plugins are all installed. I'm still getting:
** (audacious:1871): WARNING **: Could not open 'http://listen.di.fm/public3/chillout.pls', no transport plugin available.
ALSA output is selected.
Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I did a little research into the libcurl.so problem as well. I tried placing a symlink in /usr/lib/audacious/General to /usr/lib/libcurl.so, libcurl.so.4, libcurl.so.4.2.0, all combinations (even libcurl.so.3, libcurl.so.4, curl.so, etc. in General) to no avail.
I'm using x86_64; curl and audacious-plugins are both installed; ALSA for output.
Any help would be appreciated ^_^

Hmn... not sure I can be much help other than to say the above link works here and I have no (lib)curl.so of any kind in /usr/lib/audacious/General. The streambrowser plugin, however, does not work here. I do have curl installed.
