I have read about it by some people, their used a strobelight or a strong light from the side and figure so out that yust the backlights are off.

okay okay .. i will try this strobe light thing of yours .. but the computer does not give me any interface to switch between monitors when two of them are connected.
and when I disconnected the external monitor, laptop's LCD did NOT come back to life.

Think different... IMHO this can be the key to this problem. I think, its not driver related, but setting related. So you'll need to find th f*****g piece of setup entry, thus will change or set the detected external vga-out to primary, the internal to secondary. Second, if you turn acpi off, it'll be no detection for the second vga-port and the internal lcd is automaticly the primary display. A solution can be making the function keys functional and change the Display with <Fn><F8>. (And then solve the display binding)

thankyou.. I will try to find something for this .. I surely will ... how difficult could it be after locating the problem ..
just one more thing .. can you point me in the direction .. as to where to look for it?? will keep reporting the progress to you.
