Hello,
I've just completed my first install of Arch Linux, with KDE as my desktop environment.
Everything is working great so far with the exception of knetworkmanager and my wireless card.
I'm not too concerned with knetworkmanager I can puzzle my way through that one, but i'm stumped with wireless.
The card is a ralink rt3090.
Running grep | -i net in a terminal issues;
00:0a.0 Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation MCP79 Ethernet (rev b1)
06:00.0 Network controller: RaLink RT3090 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe
However, iwconfig issues;
lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 RT2860 Wireless ESSID:"" Nickname:"RT2860STA"
Mode:Auto Frequency=2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
Bit Rate:1 Mb/s
RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Link Quality=10/100 Signal level:0 dBm Noise level:-87 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
eth0 no wireless extensions.
So first off, why does one command list my card as the rt3090 (correct) while the other spits out rt2860?
Now I understand I need to grab the firmware file from the ralink website, but where exactly do I put it, and how do I configure it from there?
//Edit
I've got knetworkmanager running, and it does detect that i've got wireless. But doesn't detect any networks. Thinking I need to do something with the firmware file.
Thank You.

rt2860sta is the name of the driver - that's what iwconfig is showing you. Firmware files should be installed in /lib/firmware.
