I know this can be done in pacman (/etc/pacman.conf), but how abourt yaourt? is it possible?
regards!

my helper app (aurget) can do it via IGNORES in the config. packer will pick up IgnorePack from pacman.conf, not sure if slurpy or bauerbill have similiar options.
yaourt is no longer maintained (and consensus is it kinda sucks). i suggest you start shopping for a replacement.

@guisacouto, have you tried it? As I recall yaourt honours the pacman.conf options. Bad form if you didn't try it out first before posting for help.

Bauerbill recognizes Ignore options in pacman.conf too.

slurpy-git supports --ignore syntax just as pacman does, but does not support IgnorePkg in pacman.conf.

I ignore three packages in pacman.conf. That method works fine with yaourt since two of the three packages are from the AUR.
# Pacman won't upgrade packages listed in IgnorePkg and members of IgnoreGroup

for those who are asking, I did thest the pacman.conf option, but I do not see any 'ignoring package'.
does this message only shoes when there actually really is a upgrade, or does it shoes everytime?
for example, I want to ignore zoneminder-svn, and when I do -Sy --aur, it shoes me this:
zoneminder: up to date
shoulndt it show ignoring package upgrade? or that will only happen when there really is an update?
best regards

I was looking for the same thing and I got confused about the same... but it's the second: It'll only happen when there's really an update.
And if in case someone arrive here looking for the same: the pacman.conf file works. Just use the IgnorePkg string.
Sorry for "revive" and old topic, but I thought it'd became more clearly now.
