phpMyAdmin #2002 server not responding

Hello.

I'm trying to set phpMyAdmin for the first time. I'm a complete newbie whith these things but I followed the wiki to have LAMP + phpMyAdmin. Apache and MySQL seem to work nice, but with phpMyAdmin I get #2002 error when I try to login with my MySQL root account, the only one. I think I followed carefully the wiki but I may have skipped something so here it is my whole configuration:

/etc/rc.conf

/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

/usr/share/webapps/phpMyAdmin/.htaccess

/etc/httpd/conf/extra/httpd-phpmyadmin.conf

[url=]/etc/php/php.ini[/url] ... too big, if you need it, ask please.

/etc/mysql/my.cnf

And I also made the /tmp/mysql.sock soft link and checked owners... Any tip will be great. Thanks for your time.

In the wiki you got the answer, link.
Look for this line: "#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)"

Sorry, i forgot to add that file. I already did that: http://cl1p.net/slurp_config.inc.php/

and i access with

http://localhost/phpmyadmin
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php
http://pablerkas/phpmyadmin
http://pablerkas/phpmyadmin/index.php

Always same error.
