Gnome Volume Controller OSS

Hey. I've had a look around but cannot see a solution to my question. I'm using OSSv4 and everything is working fine, however, I would like to know if it's possible to control the volume with the Gnome volume controller? If not, is there an alternative controller I can use, without having to open ossxmix every time? Cheers.

gnome volume controller using gstreamer, so you have to configure gstreamer to support oss.

i am using ossv4 too, and i at least find this solution.

use this gstreamer0.10-good-plugins-ossv4 to replace gstreamer0.10-good-plugins

and your gstreamer apps will work fine with oss.
