single partition, debian style

How can i get an install similar to a debian install with a single partition for / ?

Simply select "Manually partition hard drive" in the "prepare disk" menu, and create only one partition with appropriate filesystem type and select / as mount point for it.

You might however consider adding a swap partition, unless you have a lot of RAM....

Yeah, the installer will also give you a warning that you didn't set the other partitions; but, it will let you continue as long as you set a root partition.
