Hello guys,
I'd like to play a original copy of the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2004 with mplayer.
I followed the wiki and installed the relevant libs and then tried to play the first chapter with mplayer dvd://1 but all I get is the following error:
[robert@thinkpad ~]$ mplayer dvd://1
MPlayer SVN-r30886-4.4.3 (C) 2000-2010 MPlayer Team
150 audio & 335 video codecs
mplayer: could not connect to socket

I had seen this on the mplayer website in the news section, you could try
mplayer -nocache dvdnav://instead of dvd://

- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.I use mplayer 30886-1 from extra.
