A lightweight comic book reader

I'm downloading some comic books and need an good comic book reader that will work on an ancient box, installing cbrpager ATM, but it has a lot of gnome deps, is there anything lighter?

Aren't cbr files just rar files?  I downloaded a comic once.  I think I renamed the file to FILE.rar, unpacked it and used feh to view the jpg's.
