intel wireless with kernel26-bfs

Hi,

I installed the kernel26-bfs form aur using the default configuration.
Everything seems ok but when I boot using the bfs kernel my wireless card doesn't work.
I have the iwlwifi-5000-ucode drivers installed

Log output:

Re: intel wireless with kernel26-bfs

What config are you using for the kernel? Most likely you haven't enabled the correct options in your config. Search "kernel config" if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

Re: intel wireless with kernel26-bfs

I'm using the default settings that came with the package.
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kerne … fig.x86_64

The wireless module gets loaded and I can see wlan0 through ifconfig -a
Its just not working.

Re: intel wireless with kernel26-bfs

I have no idea what goes into their 'default settings'. For kernel26-ice which I help maintain we stick to Arch's standard config with a few tweaks, but I don't know what they do for kernel26-bfs. If you can see wlan0 at least it should be recognized though. Try recompiling the kernel with everything related to iwlagn and the like enabled.

Re: intel wireless with kernel26-bfs

Hi,

I've installed kernel26-ice  as well, and its working fine, except I don't have any need for the extra hibernation features.
I've had to move from the stock kernel due to a bug in the wifi drivers causing my log file to grow to very large sizes.
I'll try recompiling bfs and see how it goes.

Thanks!

Is enabling bfs in kernel26-ice not enough?
