I can still run s2disk directly, but when I run pm-hibernate now, it just sits there apparently doing nothing, until I send a SIGINT with Ctrl-C to quit it. If I run "top" at the same time, it shows that there's a grep process with 100% CPU utilization. Here is the process tree listing from "ps axf" from when this grep process is running:
