Gnome window menu problem

I've a very annoying problem with every gnome window, when i click on the window menu icon ( or when i use the shortcut <alt> + spacebar ) gnome crashing, i see the desktop for one seconds and after another random open window becomes on focus.

I tried everything but nothing worked. I use Gnome 2.30.

This is a gnome bug or what ?

this should be fixed in metacity 2.30.0-2.
