Weird music symbols

After several USB boot tries,  I dowloaded the archlinux-2009.08-netinstall-i686.img version. (Didn't thought .img file was mandatory for unetbootin, but seems to be)
Now I get pass the unetbootin menu, to the "normal" boot menu, where I select the default live cd option.
Then it shows the command line for 2 secs, and the the screen fills up with -music symbols-? Diagonal arranged, pink blocks flashing music symbols...

Clueless...

Re: Weird music symbols

Why do you use unetbootin? You can just dd the img to your usb-drive (pls read: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beg … #USB_stick ). So please first check if unetbootin is messing things up.

Re: Weird music symbols

I just tried that...
The USB boot freezes instantly, it just displays "GRUB _ ", the md5sum it's ok.
Seems that my netbook doesn't like arch.
