Enable Spellcheck in OpenOffice and general GNOME Apps

Hi

How do I enable spellcheck in OOo and GTK Apps, for example Emesene ?

I have installed openoffice-base, openoffice-en-GB, hunspell, aspell-en, gtkspell. Emesene says i have to install gtkspell (which is installed) in order to use the Spell plugin. In OpenOffice auto-spellcheck is enabled but not working either nor in Firefox or Thunderbird. Can anybody guide me please what to install and what settings to change ?

Many thanks in advance

Re: Enable Spellcheck in OpenOffice and general GNOME Apps

Thanks loafer, i got it working in OOo and FF now but not in Emesene, for some reason it says:

Plugin initialization failed:
You need to install gtkspell (python-gnome2-extras) to use Spell plugin

I have the package gtkspell installed. Any suggestions ?

EDIT: nevermind installing gnome-python-extras did the trick cool
