Horrible problems after upgrading to gnome 2.30!

Hi all!

After upgrading the system and installing gnome 2.30, the system seems to be running excessively slow. As i type this, the computer lags in displaying the text. Also, chrome keeps crashing now. And also I can reach any network locations through Nautilus (File Browser) !!!!

Anyone else having problems?

Re: Horrible problems after upgrading to gnome 2.30!

I'm also getting this error after waiting for a really long time to connect to my normal network locations:

Could not open location 'ftp://cisw325p_stu026@cis.scc.losrios.edu/home/cisw325p/stu026/public_html'

DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Re: Horrible problems after upgrading to gnome 2.30!

Typing text, Firefox, and everything else I use seems to be working fine with GNOME 2.30, so there must be a more specific issue.

In case it makes a difference:

I invoke GNOME in .xinitrc using: exec ck-launch-session gnome-session

and have in /etc/rc.conf MODULES=(fuse dm_mod uvcvideo)

and (omitting a few irrelevant ones) DAEMONS=(syslog-ng dbus alsa hal networkmanager crond)
