avant-window-navigator (awn) autohides quit working after update

How can I get it to work again? Basically I did a huge kdemod update (-Syu), and now it doesnt surface when I move my mouse at the bottom of the screen. Anyone had similar problems or have a suggestion how I might get it to work again?

Yes, I had this issue. Also, when AWN was running I couldn't click on a band around the bottom of the screen, which I assume is why I couldn't bring AWN back up or interact with it.

My solution: I installed docky-bzr from the AUR and found it works better than AWN ever did.

EDIT: ahh, just noticed you're running KDE - you may want something less GNOME-centric.
