I have a game running on WINE that crashes at one point because it wants to play an mp3. The first way to fix this is to run winetricks all-codecs, but this doesn't work well with a native quartz.dll which is needed to fix a crash soon after. Another way to fix it was to recompile to use WINE's built in mp3 support which uses mpg123 as a backend. Why doesn't WINE in [extra] have this compiled in by default?

i just added mpg123 support in wine 1.1.43-1
