Getting data from kingston usb : wine

Hello, my dear community. I am having a problem getting a kingston usb to work. To open it, I have to open an executable file using wine. But whenever I do that, it gives me an error that it cant display and it tells me to remount it. I have no clue how to get around this problem. Please help.

EDIT: Its a dtvp launcher.

Re: Getting data from kingston usb : wine

Just reformat your usb stick with fat/fat32 (backup your data before) - linux should mount it perfectly - no wine needed.

I think you misspelled, and that's certainly not going to help the issue get solved...

Ask Kingston how to work with their 'security' crap on Linux. You should be bugging them, not us wink.

And next time you want to encrypt your data, make sure you use a portable solution like TrueCrypt.

Sorry, but it isn't my usb. I got it from someone else. But they had to be "security freaks" and encrypt it. Sheesh.

Re: Getting data from kingston usb : wine

You could try and run the executable with Wine, unless you have access to a Windows box that's your best shot I'm afraid.
