pacman nvidia error

pacman just asked me to upgrade pacman when i did -Syu, which I did.  now when i run pacman -Syu i get the following:

[franky@archdaddy ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu
:: Synchronising package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: nvidia: requires kernel26<2.6.33

any idea why this is happening?

Wait until your mirror is back in sync.

there was a totally different problem this morning on this bbs but this is very likely due to the same issue.
your mirror has been updated for [core] so pacman tries to pull the latest kernel but [extra] is not sync'd yet so your nvidia driver can't be updated. as your current nvidia driver requires 2.6.32, the update fails. you can 1. wait for your mirror to sync or 2. chose another mirror that is fully up to date

Any reccommendations for the mirror I should  use?

I've tried a few US mirrors and finally tried: "ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/$repo/os/x86_64"

but I still get:

Use a different US mirror than that. Then run pacman -Syy first.
