Samba server fails to start

Ever since the last samba update, the server fails to start at startup and if I try to start it manually.

$ sudo /etc/rc.d/samba start
:: Starting Samba Server                                                                                                                                [FAIL]

I tried replacing the smb.conf with the default file and it still didn't help. It was working perfectly before the update.
Current version is 3.5.2-1 Don't know what else to try and get it back up.

Edit: It mysteriously started working again. Still don't know what was wrong.
