In a recent upgrade to audacious 2.3 the chiptune format playback, linked to the game console plugin stopped working. Auadicous doesn't crash when trying to play the format, rather no sound is produced.
I've tried the NSF, GBS, and SPC formats, all of which worked in 2.2. I also tried various output plugins, to no avail.
Unfortunately there is no verbose mode, and running audacious in the terminal produces no meaningful output. Furthermore, the log simply states the the plugin (console.so) was successfully loaded and no anomalies.
Anyone else having this problem?

raj thanks for the input, unfortunately the downgrade did not solve the problem ![]()
EDIT:
I've also tried downgrading to an even earlier version (2.1-2) and got some warnings in the console about being unable to open the file. It seems it's trying to read it as a playlist (.m3u)
** (audacious2:6600): WARNING **: Could not open file:///home/n0dl/music/mods/gamemusic/spc/AerobizSS/07%20Purchases.m3u for reading or writing: Error opening file: No such file or directoryThis is a sample of the error i get. The file is not called Purchases.m3u but Purchases.spc instead.
