ATI Card and a Newbie

Dear Archers

I just recently installed Archlinux and in order to install Xfce4 i -Syu'd. Once I rebooted, I discovered that I couldn't login (once I got to udev my resolution changed. And at the login prompt I couldn't type. sad) I googled the problem, but to no avail. I'm pretty sure that my ATI Radeon card (ATI Radeon x200m) is the problem. If it helps, I'm running the x86_64 version. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had a fix I could try, or should I just wait until the official fix to update.

Thanks in advance,

Delta

Re: ATI Card and a Newbie

Have you looked into Kernel mode setting? It is activated by default for ATI with kernel 2.6.33.
