i don't get it. what is that "go to" menu ? are you talking about location bar? split-view is on every distributions that have gnome/nautilus 2.30. there is nothing special here.
1) for the location bar: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gno … tion_entry
2) for extra pane, click on View->Extra pane or hit F3

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

CTRL+L to have location bar, and click into location bar then Esc to switch back to pathbar.

So do I. FYI
/apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location_entry
If set to true, then Nautilus browser windows will always use a textual input entry for the location toolbar, instead of the pathbar.
For the split view: F3

Since gnome 2.30, nautilus doesn't have an icon to switch the location type between using a text input entry and of a pathbar.
downgrade gnome...

Did you try Ctrl + L ?

CTRL+L has no effect...
ok the button is deprecated, but it was a nice feature

You can set up the default behavior with gconf.
If I click to the text in the location bar and press Esc, I get back the pathbar.

ok, I got the CTRL+L...thanks for helping!
