Session save in gnome

hi, is there a way, how to take a snapshot of currently running processes for the purpose of later restoring them?
I have opened multiple files in gVim and it would bother me to reopen every one later...
Thanks

Re: Session save in gnome

There's moe than one session manager for vim. Web search for that and you'll get hits right away.

Wow, didn't know about that, and, is there any session manager for the other processes?

Re: Session save in gnome

I don't use Gnome, but I know that it's simply an option that one can turn on.

Re: Session save in gnome

you can turn it on in startup applications (which is "gnome-session-properties"), although I'm not sure all gnome apps work properly with it.
