pommed in the console

I have pommed installed on my MB 2,1, and everything works fine, except that certain function keys output a ~ to the console in addition to performing their function in pommed.  This doesn't happen in X, and it only happens with certain keys (the mute and volume down buttons).

Any ideas?  This bug has me mis-capitalizing things constantly when using vim.

I'm having the same problem on my MB 2,1.
But I don't think it's caused by pommed because I don't have it installed on my system.
