[Solved] Wireless + pacman = bad

The university I'm at has wired and wireless internet. For some reason, the wired is down for most of the day, but I managed to download wireless tools and the firmware for my wireless card before it went down again. Obviously the wireless works, seeing as I'm posting this, but for some strange reason, pacman won't work. I get a "Failed retrieving file...." message. I've tried 3 different mirrors, with no luck. Any ideas?

Is it possible that the ftp ports are blocked?  Have you tried editing your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist such that you use HTTP connections?

Yeah, I've tried both protocols, nothing seems to work. Perhaps I should consult the IT on campus...who knows maybe they know a couple things tongue

Ok, nevermind???? It just started working for no apparent reason. How odd...I didn't do anything that should affect it in any way. Ah, they mysteries of Arch.

Probably not Arch. I'm guessing it was a problem on the server's end cool
