Hi all,
is anyone here using Arch with this FTP server?
If so, I am having problems with it. Do you run it as it's own user?
Since I am having problems to start it.

I use it. I run it as nobody user. There are directives in proftpd.conf to set group and user.
What are problems you are experiencing?

OK, will try it again. Don't have Arch right in front of me now, but I got some errors when I started it. Will get back if I get these again.
But I suppose it will not run as the root user if running it from nobody user? Or will it?

The daemon will run as that user as you will set in configuration file.
I have now:
nobody 4750 0.0 0.0 10376 1520 ? Ss 08:41 0:00 proftpd: (accepting connections)
