Hello,
I'm trying to install the thunderbird extension enigmail.
I went to the doc page and read
In order to provide the crypto-features, Enigmail requires GnuPG to be installed. We recommend GnuPG version 2.x since it provides gpg-agent.
ok so
# pacman -S gnupg2and after
Many Linux distributions ship with their own customized version of Thunderbird. If you use your distribution's version of Thunderbird, you must use your distribution's version of Enigmail.

gnupg and gnupg2 are two ways to achieve the same - where gnupg is basically one big binary that has all functions, gnupg2 is more modular. Apart from that, they're functionally identical, I believe. If you want to use gnupg2 with enigmail, you'll probably have to build it yourself.

You can use gnupg v1 with gpg-agent provided by v2.
You need to install an RTFM interface.
