Hello All,
So let me start at the beginning. I have been using linux for about awhile an have been using Ubuntu and CentOS on and off. After hearing about Arch I thought I would give it a try. I currently have Arch install as a command line environment only. Mostly for learning purposes. I was doing some reading here: http://kmandla.wordpress.com/.
So here is my question. I am about confused about AUR. What exactly is it? and I am confused on how to setup screen-vs. How does this all work in Arch. Here is the link to screen-vs that I found in AUR. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=6006
Thanks in advance!

Good ideas do not need lots of lies told about them in order to gain public acceptance.

So if I understand from the instruction. Download the patch for screen and all the files from here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/screen-vs/screen-vs/
After that I would run makepkg -s and then run the install with pacman? Does that sound about right?

It even easier: download http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/scree … -vs.tar.gz - it contains all the files. Extract, enter directory etc.

Editing the first post lets you change the title of the thread.
