MacBook Freezes

I have a Core2Duo MacBook and I am trying to install arch from a CD. I'm following the instructions here:

I installed OS X, made a second partition, and I'm at the part linked above.

The first time I booted from the arch CD, it brought me to a grub command line with no menu. I rebooted and then the typical menu popped up and I selected "Boot Arch Linux Live CD." It runs through a bunch of commands (too fast to read) before the screen goes blank. It sits here and the CD spins down and then nothing happens.

Any ideas?
