I'm quite curious about how I can get such high numbers when my desktop is no where near the highest spec here... Maybe I just built my system better
Maybe (!) it's because "glxgears is not a benchmark", just an indication wich may, and may not, be very exact.

Ah, I see what my problem was. I had folding@home running in the background; I didn't even think that would affect my results.
