Replacing BCM4312, any suggestions? :)

So my BCM4312 802.11a/b/g is annoying me.  I can get it working with some fiddling, but doing it every kernel upgrade is getting tiresome.  The same goes for Debian and Fedora (Fedora does have a PAE kernel that helps though).  I'd like to purchase a new card for my Dell Inspiron 1525.  I'm not happy with this Broadcom-crap performance either.  I was thinking about a new Atheros or even an Intel (everything else in my laptop is intel:rolleyes:).  I'm sure there are several of you who spent the 20-30$ (or whatever currency) to get rid of the shitty card.  I'd like something that is supported by the current line of kernels of course, because I'm getting sick of messing with firmware.  Any suggestions?  Especially those of you with experience in this sort of situation?

Most Intel cards are supported pretty well, i'm using an IPW4965 myself (which is probably mini-PCI-E). Make sure you check the socket before you go buy something.

If you want just G and don't need N, I had an IPW2200 (which I bought myself to replace the BCM43xx in my first AMD laptop). Worked just fine. Atheros is said to be well supported too, but I have none of their stuff.

Did you get a new card? I have the same laptop and was also thinking of getting a new card.

I am using the b43 driver with the b43-firmware instead of broadcom-wl. I have headaches every kernel update and I also have an Inspiron 1525.
