makepkg source can not upload to aur
I have a pkgbuild on aur called icewm-testing and trying to update it to the latest version. I modified pkgbuild version and successfully built a new package on my system. I generated the source package file by issuing "makepkg --source", but when I upload the source file (icewm-testing-1.3.7-1.src.tar.xz) using aur web interface, it said unknown file format. I'm wondering if this is because it is in xz instead of gz format. Thanks.

correct. aur doesn't handle xz
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I misread this post http://www.archlinux.org/news/490/ ....only change PKGEXT not SRCEXT. Thank you.
