Brightness indicator for KDE

Hi,

I'm trying to switch from Gnome to KDE right now. I've set up a basic KDE installation. However I'm missing a brightness indicator. When changing the volume with my multimedia keys I get an indicator showing me the current volume. Gnome had this kind of indicator for the brightness, too. So when changing the brightness with the multimedia keys, an indicator showing the current brightness would appear.

Is there something similiar for KDE?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Re: Brightness indicator for KDE

Ok, I figured out that there is a brightness indicator. Using the Kubuntu Live CD it appears as soon as I change the brightness using my multimedia keys. So what is wrong with my Arch installation? Do I need to turn on anything?

Re: Brightness indicator for KDE

I believe that the brightness indicator is a patch specific to Kubuntu (and Fedora too, maybe).  I think that it is being attempted to merge it upstream for KDE SC 4.5.
