The HP Mini 210's touchpad has the "buttons" built right into the pad. xev does not detect them as anything at all when clicked. Tapping works, scrolling works, essentially everything works except being able to physically click left or right.
I tried briefly to modify the Ubuntu clickpad patch to work, but without luck.
I've tried numerous fdi and xorg configs as well.
What do you guys know that I don't?
(This is my first time on Arch. Been running Gentoo since 05)

I should add something to this.
Both left and right clicking work on HP's QuickWeb IOS (Comes with the netbook, integrated as an instant-on OS that appears before GRUB does)
QuickWeb is essentially just Splashtop Linux, so it is possible to make this work.
Maybe I'll look into accessing splashtop's config, if that's possible.

Hi, I've been having the same issue. Any advances yet? I'm trying to apply the patch in https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/67335/ but no luck yet...
I'll let you know if I find anything.
Regards.

Same problem here!!! Help, I need my right-click! I really don't want to go back to ubuntu over this silly problem! kde on arch runs so much better than kubuntu.

Same problem here, its a shame that it hasn't been fixed yet since it really does ruin usability. Right now I am having to type this via Links on Arch because I can't get the click to work on my Mini 210-1010NR.

Guys I got left, right, and middle click working thanks to Fedora! Get the fresh PKGBUILD here in AUR! Unfortunately, it requires upgrading to Xorg 1.8, which is still in testing, so it might not work the best for you. If you are still using 1.7, then I recommend using raw's xf86-input-synaptics-jumpycursor, which at least gives you the ability to left click, then set up corner tap zones using synclient. While working on the former PKGBUILD, I had a script which launched at startup, running:
synclient LTCornerButton=2
synclient RTCornerButton=3
synclient RBCornerButton=0
synclient LBCornerButton=0
Basically, LT = Left Top, RT = Right Top, RB = Right Bottom, and LB = Left Bottom. I set tapping the left top corner to middle clicking, and the right top to right clicking. Takes some getting used to, but at least it works.
EDIT: Oh and sorry for the double post.
