Improve flashplugin fullscreen performance without cpu freq scaling

Hi there,

the flashplugin fullscreen performance on my system is terrible. The wiki suggests to change the ondemand governor's threshold.
But unfortunately my Intel Atom 330 doesn't support frequency scaling.

I found one entry of the user DanGray in the arch forum where he suggests the use of the 'Zoom Desktop' plugin of compiz. This means I have to install the compiz window manager only for watching flash streams or did I get something wrong? Actually I'm quite happy with wmii.

Maybe anyone knows another workaround?

If possible, you should first download the movie and then watch it.
