[SOLVED] mintmenu + gnome panel

Hello there!

I like mintmenu very much (although the default Gnome panel is very good as well).
I even installed it from aur, but it seems that it needs to reload plugni to function properly.

So, the questions:

1) How to make mintmenu reload the plugins at the start? (I added mintmenu into start-up applications)
2) Is there a way how to integrate mintmenu with gnome-panel? Like I mean to add someway mintmenu into gnome panel?

Thanks for any ideas cool

USP is a mint menu for gnome-panel, google some screenshots; also take a look at GnoMenu.

Mintmenu from AUR should work without having to push "reload plugins".  All you need to do to make it work is right click on the panel, go to "add to panel", then mint menu.  You shouldn't add it to startup applications, that may be causing a problem.  Once you add it to the panel, the panel should remember that its there next time you boot up.

Re: [SOLVED] mintmenu + gnome panel

Well, thanks to both of you!

Jowilkin, I must have been blind because I have overlooked that the mintmenu was already there when in "Add to panel". So I added it, rebooted, and it works perfectly without reload plugins.

I'm so happy... I even deleted main GNOME menu and saved a lot of space big_smile

Thanks a lot again.
