play usb sound input in kde 4.*

hi everyone!

i bought myself a turntable with usb-connection. and i plugged it into my box and is is recognized by kmix flawlessly. but how can i acutally _hear_ what is played by the turntable. is there any tool that integrates nicely into kde 4.* that just routes the input to my speakers without having to mess around with jack?
