ata 4.01 Failed to resume link (SControl 0)These are the starting 3 lines of my boot process. I am not facing any problems but want to know why is the link failing to resume. I understand that this is with respect to the SATA link. Can anyone explain?

Not a problem, it's just a warning.
I have that on my old dell when the SATA BIOS setting is set to IDE i.o. AHCI iirc (which I have to left unchanged due to the dual boot with windoze which doesn't boot in AHCI).
Anyway, it looks like a patch might come http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.ide/49813
