Really slow game performance with i915 - was working fine before

Hello there,
I noticed today that within the last few months, graphics performance has degraded significantly on my machine.
I'm running a Thinkpad X60 Tablet which has a onboard Intel Mobile 945 GM graphics chip. This doesn't give me great performance at all, but it's enough for some simple games like World of Goo.

Or so it was, because I purchased the Humblie Indie pack today and noticed that all games have a really bad performance. I re-checked with World of Goo and noticed that it's running with about 1-2 FPS (in the main menu already!) while it was running completely fluently just before.

I'm using xf86-video-intel 2.10.0-1 with KMS (configured as described in wiki). And from what I can see, xf86-video-fbdev 0.4.1-2 is also installed. Should be alright, no?

The weirdest thing is, I can run 1080p h264 video on the very same machine without a hitch. I really don't get why games have such huge problems all of the sudden... sad

Did anything change recently that I'm not aware of here?

A lot of people had issuess with this driver version [me included].... all games and video were fine, but composite was really bad, so the only choice that i had was going back to 2.9 and that solved the problem.

Sadly I removed the old package version from cache, so how do I get the old version?

Try the ARM arch rollback machine and install the package with pacman -U.

Thanks. I tried that, but with the package downgraded to 2.9, X doesn't find any screens anymore and running Xorg -confgure makes X use the fbdev driver instead of intel. Something's amiss there... what else do I need to downgrade?

I changed the order of the modules in my Xorg.conf, placing "dri" before "dri2". Works fine now...
