[SOLVED] Network/NetworkManager not working

Hi, I setup ArchLinux today with KDE4.4 by using the guides in your Wiki. On first launch the internet but starting the network was slow, so I ended up installing NetworkManager using the steps at: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager . Now my internet won't work at all, I have access to the Network connections manager in the corner where I created a new Wired network but it says Last used: Never, and Firefox cannot load a single page and I can't ping any server.

My rc.conf where modified looks like this:

#Static IP Example
#eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
#eth0="dhcp"
INTERFACES=(!eth0)

DEAMONS=(syslog-ng !network crond alsa dbus hal networkmanager kdm !netfs)

And /etc/hosts:

127.0.0.1      localhost.localdomain   localhost Andrew-ARCH

When I went to reverse the changes (uncomment eth0, remove ! before eth0 and network, add ! to networkmanager), Starting Network would fail on boot.

My computer only has one ethernet card in it and it connects directly to a hub that is plugged into a router.

Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED] Network/NetworkManager not working

Remove the "#" in the "#eth0="dhcp"" line and remove the "!" in the INTERFACES=(!eth0) line.

Check /var/log/daemon.log for clues as to what networkmanager is doing.  Give us the output of ifconfig when using the configuration suggested by the wiki.

Re: [SOLVED] Network/NetworkManager not working

UPDATE: I run a dual boot on this machine with Windows 7 & Linux... Just realised that my internet wasn't working in Windows either, ended up having to completly poweroff and unplug for a minute to get internet back. Internet now works in Windows and Archlinux aswell.

Restarting the NetworkManager daemon using the Wiki's configuration gives:
