commit e40152ee1e1c7a63f4777791863215e3faa37a86

Linus 2.6.34
Changelog -> http://kernelnewbies.org/Linux_2_6_34
Kernel 2.6.34 is out and contains some great features for btrfs users. extofme has been busy on the mailing list and forums working on arch/btrfs integration and .34 will make a few things possible that are not currently possible with .33. [1]
While this is exciting it would be nice to not see a bunch of forum postings asking the devs when it will hit testing/core. Be patient, it will get there when it gets there. If you really can't wait have a look at compiling a kernel yourself. [2]

Does not look like it will take long until this reaches testing: http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/ … 89819.html

Well I've compiled it already and it works ok, it's not suprising though, I havent had any problems since rc1...
Linus said it all:
Nothing very interesting here, which is just how I like it. Various random
fixes all over, nothing really stands out. Pretty much all of it is one-
or few-liners,

In fact, it is in [testing] now!

Damm, that's service.

It works flawlessly

Let me dream about RTL8187B Wi-Fi working again...

I was hoping that ath9k_htc will enter in this kernel release. But no...
Does anyone know how long will it take for ck patch to be released?

-ck1 is probably not too far behind.

Installed 2.6.34 from testing, no problems here thus far.

Zen 2.6.34 in development tree is working beautifully.
[Waits patiently for Zen Stable to catch up.]

ath9k_htc will be in 2.6.35.
You can use compat-wireless to get the latest wireless drivers.

Alas, it doesn't boot for me. I'll do some debugging later.

Built it from source with BFS patch. No problems yet after (almost) two days.

from what I've heard the infamous broadcom b43 wifi driver *should* work automatically in this release, I don't have one though...

I'm assuming this does not include draft N devices right?

Have you guys tried this new kernel config option... http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/RCU_FAST_NO_HZ.html
Any benefits, like powersaving, lower cpu temp, etc...

I've tried the option and it makes no difference in power consumption for me (Hardware: Thinkpad X200s).
However, I'm using the BFS-CPU-Scheduler, so I'm not sure if my kernel is making use of that option.

Hey, interesting!
I have a similar issue with a self compiled kernel.

I actually 'fixed' my problem by removing "quiet" from the kernel command line - with "quiet" it doesn't boot, without it it boots just fine. Unless a new USB device is plugged in shortly after loading the initramfs, then it dies horribly. Oh well.
