/sbin/ldconfig lib* empty, not checked

Hi

I am installing arch on a net book and whenever I try to install something I get the error in the subject. Every package says this for lots and lots of librarys.

I can't find any info on the issue apart from an old thread which I didn't understand.

I tried a file system check and pacman Qo and reinstalling and removing packages but that didn't work. Earlier I tried to install intel-drivers and I had to re-install them to get X to start. I am using ndiswrapper. Coulld this be a probelm?

Any ideas?

EDIT: All the apps are broken because of this.

EDIT: ohhh they are the same librarys. There are a lot of libxcb- but I cannot paste them as I have no working browser on that computer

EDIT: Earlier I had to delete the normal user because the password wouldn't work. Now roots password is wrong. What could be wrong with this computer??!

Re: /sbin/ldconfig lib* empty, not checked

i just had this on a new install, but only for libGL giving that error. I tried reinstalling libgl package and was informed by pacman the file was corrupted, and removed it. after also removing leftover files from /usr/lib, and reinstalling the package, that error message disappeared

OK but earlier I had the same sort of thing but with an intel driver. Why is this a recurring event?
