I can't get midi sound working. My Sound device ist a SoundBlaster PCI128 with the snd_ens1371 alsa-driver. Here ist the output of kguitar, in kmid it's the same:
[ms@myhost ~]$ kguitar
ALSA lib seq_hw.c:446:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
TSE3: Alsa scheduler error. Couldn't open sequencer (No such file or directory)
cannot create MIDI Scheduler
ERROR opening MIDI device / Music can't be played
Sorry for my bad English.
Same problem here - i've never been able to play any kind of mid
Since it wasnt very important to me, i've just ignored it...
You can't play MIDI unless you have a MIDI synthesizer. If your sound card doesn't have one, then get timidity++, which is a software synthesizer. I know timidity++ is in [extra] You will also need to get a patch set. Google for it.
I have nothing to say, and I am saying it.
i have timidy and though it says it finishes the song and runing "timidity -ig" looks like it lags
but either way .. i don't hear anything
all the volumes [using alsamixer] are up and unmuted
