Hi. As the topic suggests I am looking for Linux distro for my IBM ThinkPad T22 which is Pentium III.
A friend of mine told me ArchLinux might be what I'm looking for. I am to use this laptop as my hobby laptop (it has a RS-232 port). I will be writing programs mostly in Python and C++. I may later on use the laptop as a media center of some sort. Is ArchLinux the distro I'm looking for?
I have used Fedora 5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12, Ubuntu 9.10 and OpenSUSE 10.x/11.x. I haven't installed these to the ThinkPad yet since I bet they will probably kill it.
I have never used ArchLinux before in fact I have never heard its name before. Will it work with my ThinkPad?
I thank you for your time.

While you are waiting for replies, check out the forum search, e.g.:

and the "Getting Started" wiki section:

If you look for something less "hardware demanding", the choice of DE/WM/apps will probably make a bigger difference than what distro you pick.
