[Solved] hdup

Hi guys,

I have arch installed and configured to my liking, and have a question about the backup utility hdup.

I've read the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bac … hdup#Intro) and I would just like to confirm something.

Say I backup my system with hdup, and then something tragic happens to my hard drive causing me to lose everything on it. Once I've done a fresh instal of just the base arch system, would I be able to install hdup, and then restore my system to it's pre-catastrophy state?

Thanks for any responce!

In short, yes.  Hypothetically, you could even backup your whole arch install, and run hdup from a live environment to restore your system to a new partition.
