Is there any way to render smoother fonts in KDE

Hi there,

Have just switched to Arch and I'm loving it! The only thing I would love to change that I know has nothing to do with arch are the fonts in KDE. Before I switched I had used Kubuntu Lucid and for the first time in KDE the fonts looked great. I would like to replicate this.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this?
