[SOLVED]update to new kernel eth0 and wlan0 dissappear

ifconfig -a gives me me lo only. Two weeks ago i had the latest kernel and everything worked fine. I updated today with kernel26 on pacman ignore and everything worked fine. I upgrade kernel and my eth0 and wlan0 disappear. I had stupidly cleared cache at some point between then and this update and so the only kernel in /var/cache/pacman/pkg is kernel26-2.6.33.4-1-i686 This kernel version has been out for awhile so i don't know if i just missed something and it's an easy fix or not. I searched forums came up with nothing. My computer is a ASUS Eee 900A.

Sadly it does not. My netbook is still a fish out of water.

Re: [SOLVED]update to new kernel eth0 and wlan0 dissappear

Ok i've solved my problem by downloading the latest kernel26 http://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/i686/kernel26/  (for i686) along with the dependencies and manually installing them using the "pacman -U kernel26-2.6.34-2-i686.pkg.tar.xz" and doing the same for the dependencies first.
