NFSv4 mounting issues

I have a fileserver running NFSv4 and my workstation is mounting the shares using the following in fstab:

myserver:/ /mnt/server nfs4 rw,nolock,_netdev,bg,auto 0 0

It works fine but when the server is powered off it takes forever to boot the workstation. What do I need to write in fstab to continue to boot and skip the nfs mounting?

Re: NFSv4 mounting issues

The soft or bg options may help however, read 'man nfs' for possible issues.

Re: NFSv4 mounting issues

Thanks for the help. I've read man pages but could not really find what I was looking for (have already tried bg but it didn't solve my problems). I will try the soft option as well.
