Sharing printer with virtual machine

Host is Arch with KDE 4.4, guest is Windows 7. I can't figure out for the life of me how to set up my printer so that it's shared with with the VM (every "guide" I've found so far hasn't worked). I can directly attach it to the VM, but then the host no longer has access to it.

The printer is an HP Deskjet D2445 (so hplip is involved).

Help is appreciated greatly.

Re: Sharing printer with virtual machine

What version of Virtual Box do you have?

P.S. you're not supposed to bump only 1 day later.

I'll try samba out.

Sorry about the early bump.
